Blog week ending 2nd November
Year 8 Design & Technology students have been working on a mechanical toy / automata project. The task requires some creative thought based on an understanding of how mechanisms convert one kind of movement to another as well as technical expertise for the build element. We look forward to you demonstrating your automatas later in the term.
On Wednesday the WG6 1st XI played Bexley Grammar in an u19 North Kent Premier league game. The final result was a 3-1 victory to WGSB. Leo T scoring 2 and Captain James G getting the other. Although many clear cut chances were created in the first half a combination of poor finishing and an excellent performance from the opposition goalkeeper meant the score line was only 2-0 at half time. The second half was more of an even contest with both teams adding a goal each to the final score line. WGSB went back to winning ways after 2 home defeats on the spin and sit in 6th place in the league. Player of the match was vice captain Joe B and next week the team travel away to the same opposition Bexley Grammar. Mr Lynch and Mr Sage would like to congratulate the boys on a good victory and thank all staff and students who supported the boys.
