The Governors wish to appoint a dynamic Deputy Head Teacher, with proven leadership and management skills, to join our highly effective Leadership Team.  The post has become available after the retirement of our Deputy Head Teacher.  The candidate will play a key role working closely with the Head Teacher, in ensuring high quality leadership provision for the students and staff.

Candidates must already hold a Senior Management post of Assistant or Deputy Head Teacher with the capacity to drive continued, rapid school improvement, lead staff and have clear impact on student outcomes.  The post will carry specific responsibilities in a variety of areas that will benefit the team and the school; these will be discussed with candidates during the interview process.  This post will provide an ideal opportunity for preparation for Headship.

  • Experience of leading on timetable construction and data analysis is desirable.

Wilmington Grammar School for Boys is an oversubscribed 11-18 year old selective Boys’ Grammar School, with a co-educational sixth form, run jointly with Wilmington Grammar School for Girls.
